Hubei Turquoise Sphere Drop Earrings

These earrings are two round turquoise beads from Hubei, China. The color is bright blue with gold-toned matrix running through the stone. One bead is more open and webbed. The other is tighter and more mottled. They are a pair, not twins.

Each bead is wrapped at the top and hung from an 18kt gold-plated lever-back finding. The finding is plated, not gold-filled and not solid gold.

Purchased as Hubei turquoise from a specialist stone dealer, at strand prices consistent with that material. Origin is as represented by the dealer. I was not at the mine.
